What is PTSD?
Post Traumatic Stress Disorder is a mental health condition that is triggered by exposure to a terrifying event. Most often associated with combat during warfare, PTSD can also be developed by those experiencing sexual assault and abuse, domestic violence, neglect, and emotional and physical abuse. Symptoms can include uncontrollable thoughts, numbness, dissociation, severe anxiety, flashbacks, and nightmares. If you think you have PTSD, it’s important to get help from licensed professionals

Hey, parenting is hard. What works for parents with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder may work for you. We offer education, support, and inspiration for anyone who can benefit. All parents are welcome here.
What if I’m a veteran diagnosed with PTSD?
We love veterans, and many of you are parents. We don’t want to exclude veterans at all; we want to broaden and deepen the awareness of Post Traumatic Stress Disorder in our society. Fighting the stigma surrounding this condition will help us all.
